Our Beginning
LOM & MOY was founded by Jademan Baker, a New York-based fashion designer, who in September of 2020 lost her job due to COVID-related layoffs. Her immediate response was shock, but she quickly changed her perspective and was inspired to pursue purpose - a lane that allowed her to simultaneously explore her faith and her love for fashion. Despite being jobless and facing several challenges along the way, the brand was a reminder that even in the midst of uncertainty, God is still able.
Our Name
LOM & MOY is an acronym for “less of me and more of you”. The name was inspired by the scripture John 3:30, in which John the Baptist declares, “He [Christ] must become greater; I must become less". It was important to create a brand that encouraged humbly living by God's will and using fashion as a way to glorify Him.
