Trusting God's Intentional Timing

If I am being honest, time has always been something that has given me a great deal anxiety – the fear of wasting time, running out or time, or not having enough time. In many seasons, I was really protective of my time and instead of that protection leading to more time, I found that it just resulted in me being impatient with others, myself and even with God.
Throughout scripture we see over and over again God’s timeliness for His people, meeting their needs, and making a way when the odds seemed less than favorable. Although He exists outside of space and time, He is always on time and present.
This morning I was reading Titus and came across a passage about how intentional God’s timing is.
Titus 1: 1-3 (NIV) “Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness – a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised from the beginning of time, and at his appointed season he brought his word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,”
The part that says “…which God, who does not lie, promised from the beginning time” made me want to close my Bible and not worry about time anymore. But seriously, if I wasn’t convicted already of God’s intentionality with time, Paul continues, “and at his appointed season he brought his word to light”.
God’s timing is appointed. It’s ordained. It’s intentional. And it’s guaranteed, why? How do I know this? Because God does not lie. The Bible is God’s credentials of how He has consistently done what He said He was going to do – proof that He has been consistent since the beginning of time.
Time doesn’t have to be my concern because the One who holds time and space in the palm of His hand is the One who has planned my life – He is the One who plans your life as well. Be encouraged!
