Sustainability & Ethics
One-of-A-Kind Styles & Small Batch Production
100% of our items are handcrafted as one-of-a-kind styles or in small batches in the US. By producing small quantities, LOM & MOY prioritizes the health and well-being of our people, our environment, and our community. As a brand of faith, we see each garment as an opportunity to spread the love of God and creatively connect fashion lovers to His Word through ethical and sustainable stewardship.
Deadstock Fabrics and Ethical Sourcing
Deadstock fabric is leftover, unused, or excess material from fashion brands, designers, or textile mills that would otherwise be sent to landfills. LOM & MOY utilities textiles that already exist to avoid the environmental cost of producing new textiles and promote a more circular fashion economy.
Fabric Recycling
In an effort to eliminate fabric waste, LOM & MOY partners with FABSCRAP, a not-for-profit corporation that provides fabric reuse and recycling services. FABSCRAP reassures that all textiles are recycled (either downcycled or upcycled), and are never incinerated, destroyed or disposed of in landfills unless the fabric scraps are impossible or impractical to recycle (for example infestation, mold, etc.). For more information about FABSCRAP’s mission, visit their website.
The fabrics that are not recycled with FABSCRAP are upcycled into new LOM & MOY styles and accessories.
Packaging
Our shipping boxes and paper inserts are made from recyclable content. Please be sure recycle boxes and paper, while dust bags can be used to protect your garment from the elements or repurposed as a dust rag, produce bag, laptop sleeve - it's up to you!
